Executive Toy Race Car Walnut with Racing Stripes

From the selected materials to the detailed initial drawings, every aspect of the hand crafted race car was considered before a single piece of wood was cut. The body is Claro Walnut with Holly for racing stripes. The cab is made from Gaboon Ebony, and Bloodwood dowels were used for the tail lights.

Measuring 6 ¼” long, 2 3/8” tall and 3” wide, this one-of-a-kind race car is truly a work of art. The grain of the Walnut flows perfectly with the hand carved contours of the body, leading your gaze from the front to the back of the car.

The tung oil finish is as smooth as glass. Three coats were applied and buffed by hand, not only adding to the pleasing aesthetics of the car, but also adding to the strength of the wood. Unlike poly finishes that are only a coating, tung oil penetrates the wood and hardens. The tung oil helps ensure this car will last for generations!

Included with this executive race car is a wooden carrying/presentation case filled with soft Spanish Moss for protection. There is also a DVD that documents the entire process the car went through from concept to finished product.
